Sandy described her home life as being disruptive with little to no guidance.  She saw how her other siblings lives were affected by this situation and knew she had to make a change in her own life.  She enrolled at the Bamberg Job Corps Center and one year later:

• Earned her high school diploma
• Completed her Computer Technology Trade
• Functioned as a Dorm Officer
• Functioned as a Sergeant of Arms for the female dormitory
• Served as a Safety Cadet

Despite all of the obstacles I have faced, I am an achiever.  It doesn’t matter how long it took, I now know that I am not a victim of my circumstance.
