2011 Summer Graduation at Bamberg Job Corps

The Bamberg Job Corps is happy to congratulate our graduates for the Summer of 2011 where 133 students separated from the program. Our Theme for the graduation was “Crossing the Bridge to Success.” These students will take different avenues. Some are planning to pursue degrees in technical schools. Some will go into the military; some will be going to Advance Training and others are eager to began work.

The parents, relatives and friends came to see and support students in a large numbers. The Vernessa Williams Gymnasium were full to its capacity. Yvette D. Rowland, Midlands Regional Director of Senator Lindsey Graham’s office was at our graduation. She stated that, “Senator Graham said he wanted to be represented at the graduation and he highly supports Job Corps program.” Also, Earl F. Brown, Jr., District Director with Congressman Joe Wilson’s office in Columbia. He was on vacation but came back to see a student intern, Eddie Scott who did his internship at Congressman Wilson’s office under the direction of Mr. Brown.

Our speaker for our 2011 Summer Graduation was Sheriff Leroy Ravenell of Orangeburg, SC.
