Social Development staff from Safety/Security and Residential Life have teamed up to form the Atterbury Ranger Academy. The evening time program, currently in week 5 of a 6 week probationary period, utilizes former military servicemen and women to prepare aspiring military recruits, both in Security trade and others. This will assist our center with JTMs for certain trades while giving students an accurate experience as possible regarding military life. Facilitators are collaborating with the neighboring military base to provide extra resources and direct access to recruiters and ASVAB training. The program has plans to expand depending on student need. The Ranger Academy currently has 24 students enrolled.
