Wednesday July 27, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Indypendence had their first annual job fair. The job fair was hosted and organized by Office Administration Instructor Mrs. Reynolds. The Fair offers HHA, CNA, and OA students a variety of local employers to speak to regarding employment opportunities. Companies in attendance included; ABC, CoWork Staffing, Goodwill Industries, RX Health Centers, Integrity Staffing Solutions, Trilogy Health, and Senior Select. Every employer had their own table or section. Most jobs required you to be at least 18 but there were 4 that offered employment to youth age 16. ABC, the outreach and placement partner for our centers had hiring flyers for jobs all around the city such as Kroger’s, CVS pharmacy, and PLS checking. All of the students had made multiple copies of their resumes. Most students went down the line, handed them out, and spoke to every company. My overall experience at the career job fair was great. I really enjoyed myself and Mrs. Reynolds did a fantastic job.
