This week our Construction Trade students became “Office Workers”! We had a Titanic Team-up between the HBI Facility Maintenance Trade and our IUPAT Painting Trade to renovate a center office in the Administration Building. HBI came in first to tear out the old worn out carpet and install a new ceramic tile floor. There was quite a bit of prep work involved, but once that was done, the speed at which the class were able to follow instructor Roy Sellers instruction was impressive. While you had speed, the quality was there as well. Once flooring was complete IUPAT Paint Instructor Kelly West, and her crew came in to give the walls a fresh coat of paint and a new look, with a wallpaper chair border. The project turned out so well, many of the staff in the Administration building are wanting their own office renovation! That’s what happens when you do quality work, people come “knocking” on your door for more!
