IndyPendence held Student Government elections and the SGA students posted signs all over the center asking for votes. They also took time to promote the need to vote and use your voice. Both our centers have spent the past months registering students to vote and have held various classroom activities on the upcoming Presidential elections. Students running for center office presented themselves to their peers during the Monday Morning Business Meeting and gave election speeches on why they deserve to be elected. Their speeches showed the candidates willingness to take on additional responsibility and become the center voice for their peers. The winners were from left to right: Jasmin E Weston, President, Kelly Shaw, Sargent of Arms, SGA Advisor Frances Hudson, A’Shanti Robinson, Vice President, Erica Simms, Treasurer. Not Pictured: Tori Mills, Secretary, Kryistal Maloney and Delmy Pineda Ramirez are Positive Normative culture trained members at large. We are so excited to see our young ladies take on the leadership roles. First official meeting was held last Thursday with Site Director Mrs. Wooten.
