CULINARY TRADE IN AN ELITE CLUB IN THE COLUMBUS COMMUNITY

This week our Culinary Crew took their “Elite” skills and helped the Atterbury center join an “Elite Club”. On May 21st the annual Tour de Trail Bicycle Challenge was held in Columbus Indiana. The Columbus Parks Bike Trail System is available for all people powered transportation. It is an ever evolving system with a final goal of connecting citizens, and guests in the city, to key destinations throughout the community. The overall goal of future expansion of the trail system is to bring a bike or pedestrian facility connection within 3 blocks of 90% of all Columbus residents. Participation in the Tour de Trails event provides needed funds for maintenance & expansion of the trail system. Atterbury’s Culinary Trade has provided snacks for the past several years to
support the event and provide fuel to the riders that participate. This year our crew baked around 1200 cookies for the ride. The sugar boost helps get the riders across the finish line, and the services we donate to the event was valued highly enough to qualify Atterbury as an “Elite Club” Sponsor. The Atterbury name appeared on event t-shirts, programs, flyers, posters, and on the Columbus Parks website. Way to go Culinary!
