ATTERBURY JOB CORPS: DISCUSSIONS WITH INDIANA REP. JOHN PRICE

One of the Benefits of being a member of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, in Franklin Indiana, is the opportunity to take part in their Round Table talks with our Elected Officials. BCL Director, Mr. Byrd, along with other Chamber Board members, had the opportunity to speak with State Representative John Price, who represents portions of Johnson and Morgan counties in the 47th District of the Indiana House of Representatives. Mr. Price also co-sponsored House Resolution 31 in the Indiana General Assembly that recognized the 50th Anniversary of Atterbury Job Corps and the valuable service our program provides by facilitating vocational training for Indiana’s youth. We discussed how community projects and internships are a great way to provide hands-on job training, while improving and beautifying our communities. Something Atterbury is already engaged in with communities like Franklin and we discussed how we could expand that initiative. Thanks to Rep. Price and the Franklin Chamber!
