Atterbury and Indypendence have been masters of Media the last few weeks. Atterbury was featured in the Daily Journal Newspaper and online, in an article about Johnson County looking at ways to address the homeless population; the article then referred to the work our Cement Mason students performed to help the community of Columbus Indiana renovate a former city garage into a homeless shelter, and featured pictures of the cement masons in action. IndyPendence OA Team had a terrific Outreach activity at IMPD East District Community Day. Some Indianapolis police officers spent the day at Brookside park. There was an Indianapolis Colts bounce house, a variety of vendors and more. All of the fun and food was part of IMPD’s effort to connect with the community it serves. Thanks to News Station WRTV6 & IMPD Chief Troy Higgs for agreeing to discuss promoting IndyPendence and capturing success stories. Indy’s OA efforts lit up TWITTER!
