On Monday, August 3, 2026, Arecibo Job Corps Nursing students participated in a community service event in the Municipality of Hatillo, Puerto Rico.

During the event, students provided free blood pressure screenings to community members as part of their nursing training. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge while continuing to develop their clinical skills and prepare for careers in the healthcare field.

Students also had the opportunity to meet and interact with the Mayor of Hatillo, making the experience even more meaningful and reinforcing the importance of community engagement and public service.

The community service event was a rewarding experience for our students, highlighting their commitment to serving others while gaining valuable real-world experience.
