Blood Drive In Arecibo Job Corps Center

On February 7TH, 2011, Arecibo Job Corps Center organized a blood drive on-center.  “Banco de Sangre de Servicios Mutuos”, Inc. was in charge and came to the center with their personnel to offer their services.

Seventy-three (73) people took part in this drive, including center students, personnel, and people from the community.
The purpose of the blood drive was to collect blood plasma and platelets for Adriana Salgado Muñoz, a two (2) year old girl (an ex-employee’s daughter) that suffers from leukemia and is hospitalized in San Jorge Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

During this heart warming blood drive, we collected fourteen (14) blood platelets, three (3) plasmas, and twenty-four (24) pints of blood, for a total of forty-one (41) donations.  Arecibo Job Corps Center is always present for a good cause.
