2011 Arecibo Job Corps was recognized with the award “Premio Cantidad Mayor de Donantes” (Largest Amount of Donators) in the category of school/college in the Red Cross 21st Annual Assembly celebrated at the Pedro Roselló Convention Center of Puerto Rico.
In this activity they recognized the work of schools, church, institutes, universities, government agencies, people, private companies, community, and hospitals. This prize is granted by the sponsorship, commitment, and the support of the largest amount of donators in blood donations during the year 2011.
This prize was given by Mr. Antonio de Vera, American Red Cross Blood Services Executive Director; Mr. Steve Maness, American Red Cross Southeast Division Vice President; and Mrs. Matilde Román, American Red Cross Collection Department. The employee representing Arecibo Job Corps Center in this activity was Mrs. Iolda N. Rivera-Pérez, Health  Instructor in our Center.
