Annual Open House–Rescheduled and Hosted by Anaconda Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center

Anaconda, MT:  The Anaconda Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (JCCCC), associated with the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, has rescheduled its annual Open House for Friday, September 28, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interested individuals and community members are invited to visit the residential training facility, tour the campus and – with any luck of sunshine versus smoke – enjoy a barbeque picnic served in full view of Mount Haggin from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Center originally planned the event to happen a week ago, not realizing at that time that nearly one quarter of its student population and five staff members would be committed to wildfire suppression efforts around the state.  However, even if the most recently dispatched Anaconda JCCCC crew fulfills its 14-day duration, that team will roll back in right on time.

Come see your Job Corps Center.  The Anaconda JCCCC serves nearly 200 students who, along with its staff, take pride in the work that they do and eagerly share their accomplishments and future projects. They look forward to celebrating 46 years of service with you, the community members and businesses that continually support Anaconda JCCCC and the Job Corps program overall. Believe! Achieve! Succeed!

Directions to Anaconda JCCCC:  From Butte, Montana, take I-90 west to Highway 1 (Exit 208).  Drive on Highway 1, passing through the town of Anaconda, to Foster Creek Road.  Turn right onto Foster Creek Road, and go for two miles.  The center is located on the right.
