Anaconda serves to raise funds for playground

Anaconda, MT–Anaconda JCCCC Student Government Association (SGA), Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) and volunteer students help the Anaconda Elementary PTSA at its extremely successful Bingo Night fundraiser.

The event was held to benefit the project to rebuild the playground at Lincoln Elementary School.  It so well attended and supported that the Association will be able to begin phase 1 of the project in hopes of having some of the new playground equipment installed by the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Pictured above is the upper floor at the Elks Lodge where the event was packed with community supporters and lined with games and prizes.

SGA president, Andrew Edersheim, greets Center Director, Ray Ryan, and his wife in the midst of the silent auction items.

Megan Andon and Ashley Nevarez stand on either side of the plinko board above.  The game attracted so many players that the prizes were gone within the first hour of the event.

YASC student, Daniel Bowden, advertises 50/50 tickets at one arms length for $5.  Two additional AJCCCC student volunteers, Sean Lippiat and Gary Lean, stand to Bowden’s right as they also assist the PTSA with ticket sales.

Bowden, above left, also assists the auctioneer to pinpoint bids during the live auction.
