Anaconda JCCCC–First WBL, Last Day

Anaconda, MT–Brandon Bean, a culinary arts student at Anaconda JCCCC, was the first work-based learning (WBL) student that the Powell County Senior Center employed to help serve meals.  Debbie Janseck-Jones, the food services manager who initially inquired and arranged with the County’s board of directors to establish the partnership with AJCCCC, couldn’t have been more pleased with the student match.

Brandon Bean, pictured above in the red chef’s uniform, stands alongside fellow culinary arts student, Andrew Edersheim, as Brandon is recognized among a large number of those he served daily for his outstanding work over the course of his WBL assignment.

“Brandon made fast friends with our customers,” Janseck-Jones, Brandon’s supervisor, confirms.  “They wanted me to do this for him today as much as I wanted to publicly thank him and recognize his good service.”

Cakes were made, balloons were filled, and a shiny new chef’s uniform given to Brandon on his last day before heading to a culinary arts advanced training program.

Brandon’s student peers came to honor him and his accomplishment and surround him in the above photo.  Hats off, Brandon, and keep the momentum!!!
