ANACONDA, MT– The Anaconda Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (JCCCC) didn’t let a blizzard and plummeting temperatures keep them from teaming up with Anaconda Deer Lodge County (ADLC) Road Department and the Anaconda Garden Club for the annually-recognized Martin Luther King Day of Service.
On January 10th, 2013, the second of a two-day snowstorm, Anaconda JCCCC heavy equipment mechanics, operators, and welder made their way through the heavily snow-covered/high-traffic zone with the ADLC Road Department workers and their bucket utility truck to remove holiday decorations from the local business district.
The Garden Club didn’t have to do too much directing, as it was the Anaconda JCCCC welders who fabricated the wreath collars and swag anchors that the Garden Club designed and used to adorn Anaconda’s historic street lamps which line the downtown area.
