ANACONDA, MT–Anaconda Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (JCCCC) participated in a career fair as part of Graduation Matters Anaconda and the Anaconda Leadership Academy that is beginning to take shape at Anaconda High School.
Job Corps students represented all eight trades from the Anaconda JCCCC and combined with thirty-five other local professionals to fill the Fred Moodry Middle School (FMMS) gymnasium, where 6th, 7th, and 8th graders rotated through the exhibits asking questions and getting to see and touch various tools of the trades.
Job Corps students could not have been more enthusiastic about representing their respective trades as knowledgable trainee apprentices. The FMMS counselor who organized the day plans to make it an annual event to include the Anaconda JCCCC training program as one of many options potential high school graduates have to plan for.
