Joseph Tio-Payne ~ STUDENT SUCCESS

Joseph Tio-Payne ~ STUDENT SUCCESS

Joseph Tio-Payne started his career at Muhlenberg Job Corps in September of 2019. With multiple challenges in the height of COVID, Payne made the difficult decision in December of 2020 to put his Job Corps career on hold, as he could not continue participating in a virtual learning environment. Payne needed to work due to financial needs and constraints.  However, when MJCC was cleared for gradual resumption of normal operations in March of 2021, Payne was on the first flight back to Kentucky from New York.

With a few barriers and bumps along the way, Payne successfully completed the welding curriculum at Muhlenberg JC in October of 2021, and immediately accepted a position with CrossRoads R2S as an AWS Certified Welder, and from the looks of it, Payne is thriving! Yoshika White, CEO, and Founder of CrossRoads R2S congratulated Payne on his stabilized employment, secured housing, and the purchase of his first car. Ms. White stated, “Committing to the process only brings success.”

Tio-Payne ‘Welding Geared’ for success!
