AJCC was very grateful in sharing their Albuquerque Job Corps story with our New Mexico State Representatives during their 2016 Ground Hog Job Shadowing with our New Mexico State Representative Georgene Louis. Our dear friends and supporters NM State Representatives Yvette Herrell, D. Wonda Johnson, Javier Martinez were so happy to meet our students and welcome them to the round house. AJCC students learned what it takes to make laws, to vote, to network but most importantly…to listen. AJCC students saw the importance of serving our community and what it looks like when all races, color, religion, county, town, city come together on the citizen’s behalf.
This experience would not have been possible without our OA Manager Mr. Sandoval giving up his black tie, his black shoes, our ILA Ms. Garcia who helped provide black pants and our Mamasita Store that through received donations, enabled our students to look professional, confident, and anxiously happy.
AJCC, thank you for your continued support in our students who go into our community to learn, to experience something new every day, as they did job shadowing in Santa Fe!
