On September 16, 2015 both Albuquerque Fire Department Chief Downey and New Mexico Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Jon Barela came to the Center to support students and staff while they met to discuss stories and strategies about being bully-free on Center and in the community. Cabinet Secretary Barela discussed expectations to secure and retain gainful employment. He told everyone in attendance that they must have the right attitude, be respectful, be drug-free and must be someone who is on time! He explained employers can train on-the-job skills but they must have skills that is need to succeed internally.
