Student Sable writes: The Y2Y Reach of Alaska

As the holiday grows near and people all around are reminded of cheer, happiness and good will towards man. We as Job Corps students intend to send each of our students home with 8 Pledge 4 Peace signature pledge cards. Students will take these to their villages, town, or cities and share them and this is starts the Alaska wide holiday reach for a Y2Y version of Peace on Earth.
As a student representative (and the only student representing the farming town of Delta Junction (pop. 1058), I will be returning home on a mission. I want to pledge my town and its neighboring Military Base at Fort Greely. I cut 236 pledge cards to distribute on my trip back home. I plan to visit a number of places including the Delta Greely school district of four different schools, the youth center, the senior center and the community activity center. I am sure to get at least 100 pledges but I expect more. I will let you know how I do. Merry Christmas from Sable Wolf, Protective Services Job Corps student in Alaska
