As a part of Global Youth Service Days, the Alaska Job Corps students and staff cleaned up public spaces and neighborhoods near the center.  Winter debris and windworn trash was rescued from fence and tree lines and secured in garbage bags.  Within a two mile radius of the center, there is not a speck of trash to be found.  This is not job training exactly but it is part of good citizenship and leadership in a community.  This is just one of a number of public service efforts underway in honor of Global Youth Service Day.
