At the base of an Alaskan  mountain and surrounded by forest, is the new site for the Eklutna Generation Station groundbreaking.  Dignitaries, contractors, partners, and community leaders joined in the groundbreaking for ten dual fuel generation sets to provide power to the railbelt transmission station.  Alaska Job Corp’s Center Director, Malyn Smith, was a part of the group.  She is ready to work with the contractors to “provide qualified employees,” at any level of the many faceted operation.  In the picture, Alaska Job Corps Center Director Malyn Smith talks with enthusiastic Board Members from Matanuska Electric Association.
