At nearly any Water plant in the State of Alaska, you will see former Job Corps students. The Job Corps Water/Waste Water program has graduated dozens and dozens of certified students, whom have sat successfully for their State Boards and gone on to high paying and long term employment. Currently students are doing work base training with the Municipality of Anchorage, City of Palmer, City of Wasilla and former students are employed at all these sites. In addition students are employed at Anchorage Well and Pump, NANA Management Services, Alyeska Pipeline Pump Stations, City of Cordova and many other sites around the state (and locations outside of Alaska.) Job site supervisors report that the Alaska Job Corps students have an excellent work ethic and are well trained. Equally important is the fact that the students are flexible and get along with their coworkers at every location. This is the true proof of a successful training program.
