It was Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Mat Su Senior Services Center.  Community volunteers were being honored for their year round help and assistance to the Elders in this region of Alaska.  Alaska Job Corps Culinary Arts Students stepped up to serve both the volunteers and the Seniors.  Rachel Greenberg, Executive Director, is appreciative.  She thanked the Job Corps students for their help.  But she  has done more than than talk about the program.  They have hired successful graduates of the Culinary Arts Job Corp  program  to work full time and prepare and serve the meals program which is offered or delivered daily.
