Cleveland Job Corps Joining Forces to Support & Uplift Our Veterans on Make a Difference Day

Cleveland Job Corps Center, Collinwood Nottingham Village Development Corporation, Volunteers of America, Veterans source Center and Homeless Hookup LLC joined forces on October 26, 2018, for “Let’s Make a Difference Day”.  Joining together to support and uplift homeless veterans living in the community at Volunteers of America, Veterans Resource Center (775 E 152nd St, Cleveland, OH 44110) provides housing support for up to 54 homeless veterans.
Cleveland Job Corps students and staff donated socks and toiletries like soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, shaving cream, and razors.  They also wrote thank you and support letters to the veterans. Dan Tremotto with Air force One donated shampoos and Lora Parries at US Foods donated snacks. “It’s important to thank them for their service and hard work,” stated Cleveland Job Corps BCL, Harriet Hadley. “Considering most of them may not have much of a support system, at least they will know the Cleveland Job Corps and the Collinwood community appreciates them.” The donations were sorted, packed and delivered to the Veterans Resource Center on 775 E 152nd St, Cleveland, OH 44110.
