On February 5, 2015  Perkins students Christine Taul and Javaaron Hale had the opportunity to visit the State  Capitol in Frankfort, KY and spend the day with House Speaker Greg Stumbo and US Senator Johnny Ray Turner. Students got to see up close of the day to day functions in both the speaker and senators office. Students got to set  in on committee meetings,  talk with various staff about their experiences working  in government. Students were also recognized on the floor of the House and Senate during session.
