American Red Cross awards Loring Job Corps Center “Extra Mile Award” at annual Real Heroes Breakfast Meeting

At the American Red Cross – Pine Tree Chapter , 14th Annual Real Heroes Award and Breakfast, Loring Job Corps Center was awarded the  “Extra Mile Award” for ensuring the mission of the Red Cross is met. Center Director, Kristie Moir accepted award on behalf of LJCC for past 5 years of community service and partnerships with the American Red Cross.

A special telecasted congratulation was presented by Senator Susan Collins addressing LJCC accomplishments of their award for all their investments in our community. Loring Job Corps Defenders Honor Guard post colors at this event.

Over 150 attended this event that included the Real Heroes awarded with their sponsors, American Red Cross advocates, volunteers and many supporters of the program. Hosted by Northern Maine Community College, WAGM-TV 8 / FOX 8 and the American Red Cross-Pine Tree Chapter.
