The Pittsburgh Job Corps mentoring program has been chosen as an Excellence in Mentoring Honoree.  Recognition will be given at the 2011 Magic of Mentoring Recognition Event on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.  Colleen Fedor, Executive Director of the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania said, “Thank you so much for all that you do.  We know that excellent mentoring doesn’t just happen…your work to support the mentor and the mentees is greatly appreciated.” 

The Pittsburgh Job Corps Center  trains all staff to be mentors.  When new hires arrive they are asked if they are comfortable being a mentor and are given training at orientation.
